Java Platform Architect / Enterprise ArchitectBangaloreRole FocusThis role functions as an Enterprise Architect responsible for the comprehensive architecture and design of the entire system landscape, covering front-end, back-end, database, middleware, and cloud infrastructure. The primary focus is architecting scalable, microservices-based, event-driven platforms with strong hands-on Java expertise and deep AWS serverless knowledge. This role also leads the transformation from legacy systems to next-generation technology models.Key Responsibilities- Lead the architectural design and implementation of platform solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across all layers (front-end, back-end, database, middleware). - Guide the technology transformation from legacy systems to Next Gen platforms with advanced microservices and cloud-native architectures. - Own and drive the platform’s architecture decisions, aligning with business goals and technology strategy. - Architect event-driven, distributed systems with clear structure and focus on concrete implementation details. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, React Native) and back-end services. - Leverage AWS extensively, including Lambda, EventBridge, and Step Functions, to build serverless application patterns. - Provide architecture for payment integrations with third-party vendors (e.g., IBK, Coinbase) and other payment providers. - Support public and on-premises cloud environments, with data analytics expertise on GCP as a plus. - Define best practices and mentor development teams on Java coding and cloud-native solutions. - Communicate complex technical concepts concisely and clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Technical Stack & Expertise- Architecture: Microservices, event-driven and distributed system design, legacy-to-cloud transformation. - Backend: Advanced Java programming skills with hands-on coding capability; production-quality code writing. - Frontend: Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, React Native (primary focus remains architecture). - Cloud Platforms: Deep AWS expertise (serverless architecture with Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions), experience with public and private clouds; GCP knowledge for data analytics is desirable. - Payments: Experience integrating with third-party payment vendors, including IBK and Coinbase. - Systems Knowledge: Real-time systems, trading or financial domain background preferred.Required Qualifications- 5+ years in Java development with demonstrable coding and architectural delivery. - Proven expertise in AWS serverless technologies and cloud-native architectures. - Strong background in system design, emphasizing focused, implementation-first architectures. - Experience leading technology transformation from legacy to modern platforms. - Technical familiarity with frontend frameworks to effectively guide integration. - Excellent technical communication skills, delivering precise and direct answers. - Experience working in financial services or trading platforms is highly desirable.Candidate Assessment Focus- Ability to write clean, production-ready Java code during interviews and work. - Deep understandings of AWS serverless stack and event-driven design. - Clear, structured system design with practical implementation detail. - Strong leadership in guiding legacy-to-cloud modernization. - Ability to communicate technical information succinctly and effectively. - Exposure to payment system integrations and cloud analytics is a plus.
