About the Role:As a Manager in the Food and Nutrition R&D department, you will be responsible for leading and supporting various aspects of product development and innovation within the Food and nutrition industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, and bring to market new food products while ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.Key Job Responsibilities: Lead the development of new food products from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with business goals and consumer preferences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive product innovation initiatives. Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, market insights, and competitor analysis to identify new product opportunities. Oversee formulation trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. Provide customized premix solutions for food & nutrition segments, conduct trials at customer end for commercial success of products. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Provide technical support to production teams during scale-up and commercialization phases, addressing any technical challenges or issues that arise. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the R&D team, implementing best practices and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and scientific advancements in the field of food science and technology, applying relevant insights to drive innovation and enhance product offerings. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, coaching, and support to facilitate their professional growth and development. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the product development process. Set-up and drive a publication pipeline to validate the new nutrient profiling methodologyCandidate Profile: Strong knowledge of food fortification, nutrition supplements formulation, food processing techniques, ingredient functionality (Encapsulated vitamins / minerals, Stabilizers, Emulsifier, Dietary fibers, anticaking agent etc), and food chemistry (dairy, bakery, confectionery etc). Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to food & nutrition product development. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Job Specification:Qualification - MSc / B Tech (Dairy, Food & Nutritional Supplement Formulation).Experience: Proven experience (7-12 Years) in food product development, nutrition (food fortification/nutritional supplements development) within the Food & Nutrition industry, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.About SigachiSigachi Industries Limited is a Public Listed Healthcare company working in domains of Pharmaceutical, Food & Nutrition industry.
