About the Role:As a Manager in the Food and Nutrition R&D department, you will be responsible for leading and supporting various aspects of product development and innovation within the Food and nutrition industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, and bring to market new food products while ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.Key Job Responsibilities: Lead the development of new food products from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with business goals and consumer preferences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive product innovation initiatives. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Provide technical support to production teams during scale-up and commercialization phases, addressing any technical challenges or issues that arise. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the R&D team, implementing best practices and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and scientific advancements in the field of food science and technology, applying relevant insights to drive innovation and enhance product offerings. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, coaching, and support to facilitate their professional growth and development. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the product development process. Set-up and drive a publication pipeline to validate the new nutrient profiling methodologyCandidate Profile: Strong knowledge of food fortification, nutrition supplements formulation, food processing techniques, ingredient functionality (Encapsulated vitamins / minerals, Stabilizers, Emulsifier, Dietary fibers, anticaking agent etc), and food chemistry (dairy, bakery, confectionery etc). Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to food & nutrition product development. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
