Role: Test Environment ManagerLocation: Anywhere in India (Any TCS office premises)Experience: 8-12 YearsApply only if you can join within 0-30 days.Job Description:The Test Environment Management team, or TEM, takes care of the setting up test environments for both Mainframe and Distributed during IV/SV phase. As well as plan and perform the execution in coordination with the project team. TEM maintains these environments and performs the upgrade according to the latest production changes.As a Test Environment Consultant, you will:- Create / co create Test environment strategy in alignment with Agile re-organization and consult and review with stakeholders from the current state - Create Business case to get sponsorships for implementing MVP’s considering Mainframe Resources, cost of maintenance etc;. - Leverage Virtualization, stubs for Applications of constraints and build business cases - Experience in migrating from Legacy to Openshift environment, Infrastructure as Code on distributed applications - Implement and Execute MVP’s with respect to inflight and upcoming projects Test environment demand - Reduce the constraints from TEM and increase the Time to market by providing more availability of Test environment, reduce cycle time of retrofits / Operational day / Overnight Jobs - Outline test data related constraints and incorporate as part of overall Test Strategy - Define Test EnvironmentSoft skills:- Analytical and technical approach - Quick learner on new technology - Continuous improvement approach - Good communication skill (both oral and written)Technical skills:- JCL - CA7 - SDSF - MQ - C:direct (asset) - Understanding of Mainframe coding language (PL/I, Cobol) is an asset - Changeman (asset) - Rexx reading (asset) - Distributed - UNIX
