Job Title: Business AnalystLocation: Bhopal (Onsite)Experience: 4–8 YearsCTC: Up to 12 LPAIndustry: AI Tech Product & ServicesOverviewThe role supports a major digital transformation program for a leading power distribution organization. The position involves working closely with multiple departments, field teams, and IT divisions to streamline operations across workforce systems, mobile applications, integrations, and analytics platforms. The analyst will drive requirement analysis, documentation, solution validation, and UAT for various power-sector processes and applications.Key Responsibilities1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis- Lead workshops with departments such as HR, Operations, Metering, Billing, CRM, Vigilance, SCADA, and MDAS. - Document current and future workflows for field operations, attendance, task management, work orders, and performance KPIs. - Prepare BRD, SRS, use cases, user stories, and process diagrams. - Identify integration requirements with multiple legacy systems including Billing, ERP, MDAS, SCADA, AMI, VTS, and others.2. Functional Documentation- Create functional specifications, validation rules, workflow logic, and exception handling. - Develop UI wireframes, mockups, and interaction flows for web and mobile apps.3. Stakeholder Coordination- Work closely with department leads, field engineers, IT teams, and technical vendors. - Ensure requirements comply with regulatory norms and operational realities. - Gather insights from field staff to ensure process alignment.4. UAT & System Validation- Build UAT scenarios and coordinate testing cycles with end users. - Track defects and work with development, QA, and integration teams for closures. - Validate workflows across attendance, work orders, inspections, outages, and safety.5. Reporting & Support- Prepare weekly progress reports, risk logs, and dependency trackers. - Support project planning and resource coordination. - Assist in training sessions and handover documentation.Required Skills & QualificationsFunctional Skills- Strong understanding of power distribution workflows: metering, billing, collections, field operations, workforce allocation, and consumer services. - Knowledge of DISCOM processes like CA, DTR, feeder hierarchy, AMR/AMI, and outage handling. - Experience preparing BRD, SRS, FRD, BPMN diagrams, and process maps. - Understanding of GIS, MDAS, SCADA, smart metering ecosystems, and load profiles.Technical Understanding (Non-coding)- REST APIs, JSON/XML, integration workflows. - Mobile app processes and offline capabilities. - SSO, RBAC, MFA. - Reporting, dashboards, analytics KPIs. - Basic SQL knowledge.Tools- MS Office Suite - JIRA / Redmine / Zoho Projects - Draw.io / Visio - Postman (basic)Qualifications- B.Tech / BE / MCA / MBA (IT/Operations preferred). - 4–8 years of experience, with minimum 2+ years in power distribution or utility sector. - Experience working on at least one large-scale utility system such as Billing, CRM, MDAS, AMI, ERP, or Outage Management.
