Job Purpose: ---Serve as a strategic technical lead, driving the successful implementation of data analytics, real-time integration, and optimized data engineering solutions under the Oracle FLEXCUBE core banking system across all Mashreq geographies. This role acts as the primary interface between business stakeholders, technology teams, and project implementation squads to ensure seamless delivery of scalable data design patterns, high-performance data pipelines, and BMW (Batch Middleware) optimization.The role is instrumental in advancing the bank’s modernization agenda by enabling data-driven decision-making, enhancing customer experience, and improving business agility through robust, real-time data ecosystems.Key Result Areas: --Act as the Data & Analytics representative in the Core Banking System (Oracle FLEXCUBE) upgrade program, ensuring alignment across data engineering, analytics, and integration initiatives.Collaborate with Business, Finance, Operations, and external partners to define and deliver scalable data design patterns supporting enterprise reporting and analytics needs.Lead and support gap analysis workshops for data and integration architecture; align on resolution strategies with business and operations stakeholders.Ensure consistent data integration and validation across all upstream and downstream systems, including regulatory, compliance, legal, and MIS data requirements.Align regional regulatory reporting needs with centralized data architecture and identify data or logic gaps through stakeholder engagement.Oversee and support data migration activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity during the transition to the new core banking platform.Replace DWH and BMW integration workflows with new data platform (Data Lake- Cloudera) by identifying current system pain points and repurpose the existing solution implemented in the 5 regions (Oman, US, UK, HK & PAK)Participate in testing strategy development and execution across SIT, UAT, and performance testing, focusing on data validation, integration accuracy, and reporting fidelity.Review and validate technical and functional design documents (BRD/FSD) from a data and analytics perspective to ensure architectural consistency.Support change management and training initiatives, particularly in the areas of new data platforms, data models, and reporting systems.Monitor project-level risks and proactively address delays and issues related to data readiness, integration timelines, or system dependencies.Represent data and analytics functions in program-level working groups; provide regular updates to Technology leadership on analytics and integration stream progress.Ensure compliance with data governance and IT change control processes; maintain full documentation of system/data changes and integration logic.Develop or revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and integration protocols to reflect changes introduced by the new system.Maintain accurate project documentation including data model designs, lineage maps, testing logs, and technical specifications.Perform business analysis to reduce system customizations, promote reuse of global data models, and enhance cross-country consistency.Track realization of data and analytics benefits (e.g., automation, reporting accuracy, latency reduction); capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.Participate in technical design discussions on interface architecture, advocating for efficient, scalable, and cost-effective data integration solutions.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEducation & CertificationsPostgraduate /EngineerExperience12 to 15 years of experience in Banking space, with at least 5 years in system implementation/integration support.Experience in requirements management, Gap analysis and solutioning.Technical SkillsBig Data Engineering & SQL ConceptsData Analytics & Data Management FundamentalsData Architect, Modelling, GovernanceDomain Knowledge in Banking/Finance areaDevOps & Agile MethodologyCloud Powered Platform – Azure, DatabricksWorkflow Management ToolData Streaming solutions like KAFKA, Azure Cosmos, Oracle 23ai (preferred)Proven track record of successful system integrations and data migrationsBehavioral Skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Experience in managing /supporting core banking transformation projectsExperience in integration and implementing and supporting core banking systems
