Job Title: Assistant Manager – Marketing Billing & MISExperience: 5 – 8 YearsCTC: ₹4 – 6 Lacs per annumLocation: Chennai – MylaporeRole OverviewThe Assistant Manager – Marketing Billing & MIS will be responsible for managing end-to-end marketing-related billing, expense tracking, vendor coordination, and MIS reporting. The role ensures strong financial control over marketing spends, timely bill processing, and accurate reporting to support management decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Billing & Financial ControlProcess, verify, and track all marketing-related bills including:Advertising agenciesDigital marketing vendorsEvent & activation partnersPrinting, branding, and media vendorsEnsure all bills are supported by approved work orders, purchase orders, and completion proofs.Coordinate with Finance/Accounts teams for timely booking and payment of bills.Track marketing expenses campaign-wise, project-wise, and vendor-wise.Monitor adherence to approved marketing budgets and highlight variances or deviations.MIS & ReportingPrepare, analyze, and circulate periodic MIS reports including:Marketing spend vs. budgetCampaign-wise expense analysisProject-wise marketing cost reportsVendor payment and outstanding statusMaintain accurate marketing data in Excel and ERP systems.Submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports to senior management.Support management presentations with financial insights, summaries, and dashboards.Vendor & Internal CoordinationLiaise with marketing vendors for invoice clarifications, corrections, and reconciliations.Coordinate with internal teams such as branding, digital marketing, events, CRM, and sales for billing confirmations.Ensure proper documentation of vendor agreements, rate cards, approvals, and scope of work.Maintain vendor master data, billing trackers, and historical records.Compliance & DocumentationEnsure marketing expenses comply with company policies and audit requirements.Maintain well-organized digital and physical records of invoices, approvals, and MIS reports.Support internal and external audits related to marketing expenses.Ensure GST compliance including accuracy of GSTIN, HSN codes, tax calculations, and invoice formats.Process Improvement & ControlsStreamline marketing billing and MIS processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.Develop and standardize formats for billing trackers and MIS reports.Identify cost optimization opportunities and share insights with management.Assist in automation or system enhancement initiatives related to billing and MIS.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Management.MBA in Marketing / Finance / Operations – Preferred.5–8 years of relevant experience in marketing billing, MIS, or finance coordination roles.Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of marketing billing, expense management, and vendor invoicing.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dashboards).Working knowledge of GST and basic accounting principles.High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.Excellent coordination, communication, and follow-up abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
