This role requires a balance of hands-on execution and strategic advisory capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & ComplianceManage end-to-end finance operations, including accounting, taxation, and statutory complianceEnsure timely and accurate TDS, GST, Income Tax, and other statutory filings as per Indian regulationsHandle statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits; coordinate with auditors, consultants, and authoritiesEnsure compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, RBI, and other applicable lawsBudgeting, Forecasting & MISLead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and variance analysisPrepare and present monthly MIS, financial reports, and dashboards for management reviewTrack and control costs, margins, and working capital, especially within an e-commerce operating modelLeadership & Business PartneringAct as a finance business partner to the leadership team, supporting strategic and operational decisionsAnalyze business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actionsSupport leadership in pricing strategy, profitability analysis, investment decisions, and cost optimizationE-commerce Finance ExposureManage finance processes related to marketplaces, seller settlements, payment gateways, refunds, chargebacks, and reconciliationsEnsure accurate reconciliation of platform reports with books of accountsWork closely with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to align financial controls with business growthTeam Management & Process ImprovementLead and mentor junior finance team members to ensure timely deliverables and high standardsDrive process improvements, automation, and system controls to enhance efficiency and accuracyCoordinate with cross-functional teams including Operations, HR, Legal, and TechnologyKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of TDS, GST, Direct Taxation, statutory compliance, and auditsHands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, MIS, and financial analysisSolid understanding of e-commerce business models and marketplace accountingAbility to communicate financial insights effectively to non-finance stakeholdersStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsProven experience working closely with senior leadership and foundersQualification & ExperienceQualified Chartered Accountant (CA)5–6 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, D2C, or internet companiesMandatory experience in managing audits, taxation, and leadership reporting
