Principal / Staff RF Engineer – PA, LNA & FEM IC DevelopmentLocation: Bangalore, Karnataka, IndiaRole Overview:We are seeking a Principal / Staff RF IC Engineer with deep expertise in Power Amplifiers (PA), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA), and Front-End Module (FEM) ICs to drive the design and development of high-performance RF solutions. This role involves end-to-end ownership from architecture and design through silicon validation for X / Ku / Ka / E-Band applications.Key Responsibilities:Lead the architecture, design, simulation, and layout of RF ICs including PAs, LNAs, and FEMs for mmWave and microwave frequency bands.Optimize designs for power efficiency, noise figure, linearity, gain, bandwidth, and stability.Perform circuit-level and EM simulations to ensure robust RF performance and layout integrity.Collaborate with system, layout, packaging, and test teams to define specifications and resolve design challenges.Develop and execute silicon validation and characterization plans.Perform RF measurements and debug using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, load-pull systems, and related RF lab equipment.Support tape-out, bring-up, and yield/debug activities across multiple process technologies.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to RF design methodologies and best practices.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.8–10+ years of hands-on experience in RF IC design with strong focus on PA, LNA, and FEM development.Solid understanding of RF/microwave theory, transmission lines, impedance matching, and stability analysis.Proficiency with RF simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, Cadence RF, Microwave Office, or equivalent.Extensive experience with RF measurement and characterization techniques.Hands-on knowledge of GaN, GaAs, SiGe, or RF CMOS processes.Nice to Have:Experience in mmWave systems and high-power RF designs.Familiarity with packaging, thermal considerations, and module integration.Prior experience leading technical reviews or small RF design teams.
