Purpose of the RoleLead the technical service and product development initiatives for the Indian market by providing expert support in starch and food ingredient applications. The role focuses on managing customer solutions, driving product innovation, and supporting commercial teams to achieve business growth through technical excellence and collaboration with regional and global teams.Key Responsibilities1. Technical Service & Customer Solutions- Provide technical application support to customers, ensuring the right product selection and usage in various food applications. - Partner with sales and marketing teams to address customer challenges and develop innovative, value-added solutions. - Conduct trials, demonstrations, and training sessions to support customers and distributors.2. Product Development & Innovation- Develop and optimize formulations, prototypes, and product improvements tailored to customer and market needs. - Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams to translate innovation concepts into market-ready solutions. - Monitor global food trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for new product development.3. Project & Team Management- Lead and manage the local technical service and development projects, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and business objectives. - Manage the project pipeline and resource allocation for maximum efficiency and timely delivery. - Support capability building and knowledge transfer within the team and across the region.4. Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement- Ensure that all activities comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000). - Drive continuous improvement in product performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related disciplines. - Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Technical Service, Application Development, or R&D within the food or ingredient industry (starch or modified starch preferred). - Strong understanding of food formulation, processing technologies, and ingredient functionality. - Proven track record in leading technical service teams or projects. - Excellent communication and presentation skills with proficiency in English; familiarity with local Indian languages is an advantage.
