In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that handle high-volume data, transactions, and real-world user workflows across multiple consumer products.You’ll work closely with product, frontend, data, and growth teams to ship reliable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that directly impact millions of users and millions in revenue.If you enjoy building robust systems, working with real production data, and solving complex backend problems in a fast-moving environment, this role is for you.About TriplespeedTriplespeed is a fast-moving app studio that’s profitable and scaling multiple consumer brands to $10M+/year in revenue, with strong month-over-month growth.We build direct-to-consumer apps at speed—iterating fast, shipping often, and scaling what works. We’re looking for backend engineers who want real ownership, real production responsibility, and exposure to high-impact systems early in their career.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power consumer-facing applications.Work with databases, queues, and background jobs to process large volumes of data reliably and efficiently.Collaborate closely with frontend, product, and operations teams to translate product requirements into backend implementations.Ensure backend systems are secure, performant, and production-ready.Debug and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Participate in backend architecture decisions and contribute to system design discussions.Continuously improve backend reliability, observability, and developer tooling.Who Can ApplyDevelopers with at least 1 year of hands-on backend development experience.Strong fundamentals in backend engineering and API development.Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.Based in Bangalore or willing to relocate.Candidates who enjoy ownership, autonomy, and shipping production code quickly.Required SkillsExperience building backend services using Node.js, Python, Java, or similar backend languages.Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and service-based systems.Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar).Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and secure data handling.Ability to debug issues across the stack and reason about data flows.Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.Comfortable working with Git and collaborative development workflows.Bonus / Optional Experience (Nice to Have)These are not mandatory, but a strong plus:Experience building backends for spend analysis or transaction analysis.Familiarity with processing financial data, bank transactions, or recurring subscription patterns.Experience with data scraping, crawling, or working with third-party data sources.Exposure to mobile emulator automation, device farms, or app-level data extraction.Experience integrating or building agentic AI systems that collect, normalize, or enrich data automatically.Experience working with queues, workers, and async processing (e.g. Redis, RabbitMQ, SQS).Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).What We OfferWork on real products used by large numbers of paying users.High ownership and direct impact on revenue-generating systems.Fast learning curve across backend, data, and production systems.Opportunity to grow into a lead backend or systems role as the team scales.Competitive compensation based on experience and impact.
