Dear Candidate,Greetings from SanmarGroup!We have an opportunity for Product Engineer for our plant (Flowserve Sanmar Pvt Ltd) located in Karapakkam.Qualification : BE MechanicalExpereince : 5 - 9 YearsKey Responsibilities1. Product Design & Development- Develop and modify designs for mechanical seals, and related components. - Prepare engineering calculations, 3D models, and detailed drawings. - Ensure product designs meet Flowserve standards, industry codes (API, ANSI, ISO), and customer specifications.2. Technical Support- Provide engineering support to sales, manufacturing, service centers, and customers. - Conduct root-cause failure analysis (RCFA) and recommend corrective actions. - Support bid proposals with technical clarifications and product selections.3. Product Lifecycle Management- Maintain product documentation, BOMs, specifications, and engineering change notices (ECNs). - Lead product upgrades, redesigns, and standardization initiatives. - Assess and improve reliability, performance, and cost effectiveness.4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination- Work closely with global engineering teams, supply chain, vendors, and operations. - Support manufacturing with troubleshooting, process improvements, and design-for-manufacturability (DFM).5. Quality & Compliance- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality guidelines and Flowserve’s engineering procedures. - Support audits, documentation, and compliance activities. - Implement continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance product reliability.Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related field. - 5 -9 years’ experience in Mechanical seal, or heavy engineering product environment. - Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, rotating equipment, and material selection. - Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD). - Understanding of API 610/682, ASME, ISO standards.Preferred Skills- Experience in engineered-to-order (ETO) environments. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes (casting, machining, fabrication). - Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP). - Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills. - Ability to collaborate with global teams.If you are interested kindly send your resume to VS109@
