Job Role: Senior Automation Engineer (Cypress)Job Location: Bangalore /ChennaiJob Type: PermanentWork Mode: Hybrid workJob Description:Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Cypress (JavaScript/TypeScript) - Collaborate with QA, Dev and DevOps teams to ensure seamless automation integration within CI/CD pipelines. - Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and API testing to validate product quality. - Participate in test planning, estimation, and defect triage during Agile sprints. - Analyze test results, debug failures, and identify root causes in collaboration with development teams. - Contribute to automation best practices, code reviews, and documentation.- 3–5 years of overall QA experience with at least 2+ years in Cypress automation. - Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and front-end testing methodologies. - Solid understanding of web application architecture, APIs, and RESTful services. - Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions. - Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Chai, Cucumber). - Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and Agile project tools (JIRA, Confluence). - Strong debugging and analytical skills to identify test or application issues. - Exposure to API automation (Postman, Newman, or RestAssured). - Experience with cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). - Knowledge of performance or visual regression testing tools. - Awareness of Docker or containerized test environments.
