Product (Senior) Actuary/Actuarial Manager, LII APAC Role SummaryThe role serves as a trusted advisor to product management and the dedicated point of contact for the product across teams providing actuarial and data science services. The role provides services including actuarial components of business strategy, portfolio level pricing and portfolio monitoring, transactional pricing and product enablement. As part of the APAC Actuarial and Data Science team, the role will contribute to the unified actuarial and data science community that will enable connectivity and shared insights while maintaining positive momentum in delivering on the GRS shared objectives.The APAC Actuarial and Data Science (ADSS) team provides ADSS capabilities that include Legal Entity/Regulatory analysis (including Appointed/Certifying Actuary responsibilities), Data Science and US GAAP Reserving. This role will support the provision of all ADSS capabilities as needed.Role ResponsibilitiesServe as the trusted advisor to the product leadership and be the dedicated point of contact across teams providing actuarial servicesSupport formulation and evaluation of strategies to improve or grow portfolios within the BusinessExecute product-level ADSS services including actuarial components of the business strategy, portfolio level pricing and profitability monitoring, transactional pricing support, ceded reinsurance strategy, product enablement support and communication of results from reserving and planningAccountable for bringing a synthesized view across pricing, reserving and planning to product stakeholders, working in collaboration with regional and GRS actuarial teams to align on views and insightsSupport efforts to build ADSS capabilities, partnering with ADSS peers across GRS to define, champion, and execute continuous improvement efforts, tailoring to meet the unique needs of the businessCollaborate with Actuarial peers to ensure consistency of relevant actuarial approaches and assumptions, adherence to best practicesDevelop and nurture key technical actuarial talent and drive improvement in the overall technical actuarial capability of the businessSupport or lead the provision of other ADSS capabilities as needed including but not limited to Legal Entity, Data Science and US GAAP Reserving.Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms part of your role, and the demonstration of behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to your role, is core to LII's commitment to our Liberty Values, placing customers at the centre of our business and behaving with integrity.
