Role OverviewThe Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain strategy, planning, execution, and optimization across procurement, warehousing, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning. This role will drive cost efficiencies, service level improvements, and scalability while ensuring seamless operations across multiple channels.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDefine and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with business growth plansLead supply chain transformation initiatives focused on cost optimization, automation, and scalabilityAct as a key stakeholder in business planning, new launches, and expansion initiativesProcurement & Vendor ManagementOversee strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract managementBuild long-term supplier partnerships to ensure quality, continuity, and cost competitivenessImplement supplier performance management and risk mitigation plansDemand Planning & Inventory ManagementDrive accurate demand forecasting in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and FinanceOptimize inventory levels to balance service levels and working capitalReduce stock-outs, excess inventory, and obsolescenceWarehousing & LogisticsManage warehouses, fulfillment centers, and last-mile delivery operationsOptimize logistics costs through network design, route optimization, and carrier managementEnsure high OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) performance and SLA adherenceProcess Excellence & TechnologyImplement and enhance ERP, WMS, TMS, and supply chain analytics toolsDrive SOP standardization, lean processes, and continuous improvement initiativesLeverage data and dashboards for decision-making and performance trackingTeam LeadershipBuild, mentor, and lead high-performing supply chain teams across functions and locationsSet clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and develop succession plansFoster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and accountabilityCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and safety requirementsDevelop contingency plans for supply disruptions and operational risksKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Supply chain cost as % of revenueInventory turns and working capital efficiencyOTIF / service level adherenceForecast accuracyVendor performance and cost savingsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related fieldMBA / PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain preferred12–18 years of experience in end-to-end supply chain roles, with at least 5 years in leadershipStrong exposure to multi-location operations and complex supply networksSkills & CompetenciesStrong strategic and analytical thinkingExcellent negotiation and stakeholder management skillsDeep understanding of supply chain systems and analyticsAbility to lead large teams in fast-paced, high-growth environmentsStrong communication and executive presence
