JOB DESCRIPTIONApplication Electrical Hardware EngineerKey responsibilities and authorities:- Create electrical schematics based on core circuit blocks - Maintain & own electrical schematic & components for assigned programs - Create/maintain/modify Circuit Analysis and Design Documents - Create/maintain/modify Circuit Test Plans, monitor testing activity and review test results - Conduct ECU failure analysis to identify root cause using standard lab equipment and provide recommendations for corrective actions - Review PCB layout and provide recommendation to assure integrity of electrical signals on the circuit Card Assembly - Lead schematic review activities for assigned programs - Interface with other functional groups to ensure integrity and accuracy of the design: - Lead/support DFMEA activities for the Control Module HardwareDesired Strengths:- Problem solver & quick learner - Takes initiative with calculated risks - Clear, concise, and respectful communication - Works well with others across all countries, functions, and levels - Clearly defines, and explains, the problem - Continuously strives to improve - Promotes alignment across teams, functions, and others - Accurate and tail orientedAcquired Technical Skills:- Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Design and Manufacturing Processes - Printed Circuit Card (PCB) Design, Materials and Manufacturing Processes (via, layers, laminate, etc. - Circuit Design (Schematic) - Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Layout design (eCAD) - Electronic Components (Resistor, Capacitors, Inductors, FETs, etc)Qualification Required (Education – Experience – Skills)Master of Science or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering.Strong skills in problem solving like Six SigmaHigh level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficultHigh level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with othersAbility to evaluate various technology alternatives to achieve project goals, especially design - process trade offsExperience in design, manufacturing process and controls of mechanical gearsStrong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and applications.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and software issues.
