Our platform is trusted by the world’s largest brands, including The Coca-Cola Company, Novartis, Danone, Roche, BASF, Liberty Global, Bayer, Millennium, and .Position Overview: As a Principal Technical Architect – Customer Value & Innovation, you will serve as ORO’s senior technical authority in customer-facing, value-led engagements.This role sits at the intersection of architecture, product, and customer value. You will partner closely with Customer Value Partners, Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure customers deeply understand how ORO is built, why it is architected the way it is, and what that means for scalability, security, extensibility, and long-term value.You will engage confidently with CTOs, Chief Architects, Security Leaders, and Platform Teams at large enterprise customers — going head-to-head on architecture discussions, deployment models, data strategy, integrations, and AI foundations — while always anchoring technical decisions back to business outcomes. This is not a demo role. This is not implementation delivery. This is a senior, trust-building role that ensures ORO wins on technical confidence, architectural credibility, and long-term platform value.What You’ll Do1. Act as the Senior Technical Voice in Customer Value ConversationsPartner with Customer Value Partners in early and ongoing customer engagements to translate business value into technical reality.Engage directly with customer CTOs, Enterprise Architects, Security, and Platform teams to discuss ORO’s architecture in depth.Provide authoritative explanations of how ORO supports:Enterprise scale and performanceSecurity, compliance, and data protectionMulti-system orchestration without brittle integrationsEvolution toward agentic and AI-enabled workflows2. Explain and Defend ORO’s Architecture with Clarity and ConfidenceArticulate ORO’s platform architecture and design principles, workflow and orchestration model, interface and experience strategy and Data model, persistence, and extensibility approach.Clearly explain why ORO is built differently from traditional monolithic Source-to-Pay platforms — and what technical advantage that creates over time.Address hard questions around scalability, resilience, performance, isolation, and roadmap evolution with credibility and precision.3. Bridge Product, Engineering, and Customer RealityAct as a technical bridge between customer needs and ORO product and engineering teams.Translate customer architectural concerns into structured product feedback and design input.Partner with Engineering to ensure customer-facing technical narratives remain accurate, consistent, and forward-looking.Help shape how ORO communicates its architecture externally — from diagrams and documentation to executive-level storytelling.4. Support Complex Enterprise EcosystemsAdvise on how ORO integrates into complex enterprise environments, including:ERP and core finance systemsLegacy procurement platformsIdentity, access, and security servicesData platforms and reporting layersProvide confidence around coexistence strategies rather than “rip and replace.”Help customers understand how orchestration allows them to modernize incrementally without destabilizing core systems.5. Be a Thought Leader in Technical OrchestrationStay current on enterprise architecture trends, including:API-first and event-driven systemsPlatform extensibility and composabilityAI-assisted workflows and agentsGovernance, auditability, and explainabilityHelp customers imagine what their architecture could become, not just what it is today.Contribute to ORO thought leadership by shaping technical POVs, reference architectures, and future-state narratives.What We’re Looking ForExperience & Background8–12+ years of experience in roles such as: Enterprise / Solution Architect, Principal Engineer or Technical Architect, Platform or Integration Architect, Technical Lead in complex SaaS or enterprise environments.Experience engaging directly with C-level and senior technical stakeholders in large, complex enterprises.Background working with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, Enterprise integration patterns, Workflow engines, data models, and system orchestration.Technical CapabilitiesDeep understanding of: Modern SaaS architectures, APIs, eventing, and integrations.Understanding and proven ability in data modelling and persistence strategies, including security, access control, and compliance fundamentalsAble to explain complex concepts simply — without dumbing them down.Comfortable discussing trade-offs and architectural decisions openly and honestly.Communication & CollaborationExceptional communicator — equally comfortable whiteboarding with a CTO, Presenting to an executive steering committee or collaborating with engineers and product managersStrong team player who partners naturally with: Customer Value, Sales Engineering, Product Management, Engineering LeadershipMindsetValues clarity over cleverness.Naturally ties technical decisions back to business outcomes.Curious, pragmatic, and low-ego.Comfortable saying “here’s what we do well, and here’s what we don’t — yet.”Why Join ORO LabsElevate Your Career with Industry LeadersProcurement powers the world - and we need talented people like you to help make it seamless and impactful for enterprises everywhere.
