The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of custom Discovery pattern development, CMDB data modeling, and Discovery-to-CMDB synchronization across virtual, hardware, software, and business application environments.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain custom Discovery patterns using TPL.Model Virtual, Hardware, Software, and Business Application Instances in ServiceNow.Analyze Discovery scan results and build accurate CI models for CMDB population and synchronization.Work with Discovery datastore and taxonomy to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.Develop and manage CMDB Sync and Sync patterns.Configure and use data sources and Web API credentials within TPL.Create Discovery patterns for desktop and laptop environments.Write efficient regular expressions for Discovery triggers.Optimize datastore-efficient queries to improve performance.Collaborate with ITOM, CMDB, and platform teams to ensure best practices in Discovery and data modeling.Technical Skills & Qualifications:8–9 years of experience working with ServiceNow, with strong focus on ITOM Discovery and CMDB.Expert-level knowledge of TPL (Pattern Language) and Pattern Designer.Hands-on experience with Discovery datastore architecture and taxonomy.Strong understanding of CMDB data models, relationships, and CI lifecycle.Experience working with Web Services, APIs, and credentials in ServiceNow Discovery.Proven ability to write optimized TPL scripts, regex triggers, and queries.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently in a remote, night-shift environment.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
