Position Summary:Principal / Staff Serdes Design EngineerLocation: BangaloreJob Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal/Staff SerDes Design Engineer to join our team. We specialize in building next-generation, high-performance wireline transceivers and delivering industry-leading IP in advanced technology nodes.In this role, you will design high-performance, high-speed AMS circuits used in SerDes PHYs, including evaluating various circuit topologies to meet product requirements (e.g., RX, CDR, TX, bias generators, high-speed clock generation, low-jitter distribution, phase interpolators, DLLs, VCOs) while optimizing for best-in-class power, performance, and area (PPA).You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define specifications, implement designs, and ensure robust product performance.Responsibilities:Design and develop high-speed SerDes circuits, including TX, RX, and PLL components.Perform circuit simulations and analyses using industry-standard EDA tools.Work with layout engineers to ensure optimal physical implementation and performance.Validate SerDes designs through lab testing, characterization, and measurement.Debug and resolve design issues; provide technical expertise and support.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.10+ years of experience in SerDes design.Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design principles.Experience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis.Hands-on experience with lab equipment for testing and characterization.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
