Job descriptionThe Contracts Manager will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing agreements across vendors, customers, and financial institutions. This role ensures compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, mitigates risks, and supports business growth through effective contract governance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:(i) Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, redline, and finalize agreements (vendor, customer, SoW, loan documents, NCDs, addenda, etc.).(ii) Risk & Compliance: Conduct gap analysis, ensure adherence to applicable laws, and align contracts with corporate policies.(iii) Process Improvement: Develop templates, tools, and best practices; deliver training to cross-functional teams.(iv) Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT, legal, finance, and commercial teams; maintain contract repositories and MIS reports.(v) Performance Monitoring: Track risks, opportunities, and performance metrics across the contract portfolio; report and recommend actions.(vi) Advisory and compliance Support: Review marketing materials and support commercial projects from a legal perspective.QUALIFICATIONS:(i) Bachelors degree in law (i.e. L.L.B. and LL.M. Preferred) with 510 years PQE in contract management and advisory roles;(ii) Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating agreements;(iii) Working knowledge of finance and NBFC operations;(iv) Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English);(v) Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with contract management tools is a plus; and(vi)Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in teams
