Role & Responsibilities: Drafting & Reviewing AgreementsDraft, review, and finalize legal agreements including:OTT platform licensing/acquisition agreements (SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, Hybrid)Film distribution agreements – theatrical, satellite, digital, international, regionalContent acquisition & syndication contractsCo-production agreements & rights assignment documentsProduction, talent/artist, director, DOP, and crew contractsVendor and service provider agreementsMarketing, promotional, and agency contractsNDAs, MoUs, revenue-sharing agreements - Ensure contracts protect business interests and follow legal, regulatory, and industry norms.OTT & Digital Rights ManagementManage agreements for OTT premieres, digital-first releases, and exclusive/non-exclusive content licensing.Review terms related to exploitation rights, streaming windows, platform exclusivity, and content monetization.Ensure compliance with OTT platform guidelines, censorship norms, and digital content codes.Film Distribution Contract ManagementStructure agreements covering territory rights, language rights, MG (Minimum Guarantee), revenue share, deliverables, and release windows.Oversee contracts for theatrical, satellite, and digital distribution across domestic and international markets.Track rights expiry, renewals, royalty terms, and monetization timelines.Contract Administration & ComplianceMaintain a central repository for all agreements and legal documents.Track critical dates (renewals, rights expiries, deliverables).Ensure alignment with copyright laws, IPR rules, censorship guidelines, and media distribution standards.Legal AdvisoryProvide legal support on media/entertainment law, copyright/IP, OTT platform regulations, distribution norms, and digital rights.Assist in responding to legal notices, claims, and disputes.Cross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with content, production, distribution, marketing, sales, and finance teams.Liaise with OTT partners, distributors, production houses, and external legal counsel.Risk AssessmentIdentify legal risks in agreements and recommend mitigation strategies.Support documentation for dispute resolution and regulatory compliance.Key Requirements:LLB/LLM specialization in Media, Entertainment, or Intellectual Property Law is an advantage.2–5 years of experience in drafting media/film/OTT agreements.Strong understanding of: OTT content acquisition & licensing, Film distribution contracts, Copyright and digital/IP rights & Media regulations & content guidelinesExcellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.Key Competencies:Contract drafting & negotiationMedia/OTT/film rights knowledgeDocumentation accuracy & complianceStakeholder managementAnalytical thinking & problem solving
