Job Title

This role will be primarily responsible for idea generation & doing research on portfolio companies across diverse sectors under his / her coverage with the aim of outperforming the benchmarks & peers. He / she will also be responsible to do the research on broader economic indicators, sector dynamics along with timely help in day to day functioning of the Investment team. The role of an equity analyst is to analyze business model & financial data to forecast the company’s intrinsic value. This job is focused heavily on Quantitative research and analysis. He will be closely working with Fund Manager & Head of InvestmentKey responsibilitiesIdentification of "new stock ideas" in his / her sectors to generate "alpha" in the portfolioIdentification of emerging trends in his / her sectors & monitoring of portfolio companies on daily basisQuarterly Review of Portfolio companiesDeveloping the strategy of overweight / underweight on the sectorSupport Fund Manager & Head of Invetsments in managing the Investment portfolio to achieve the KPI of DeptHelping the Investment team in day to day activitiesSupport Fund Manager/Head of Invetsments/CIO in MIS & Other ReportingQualificationsMBA/CACFA Would be preferredExperience3-5 years experience in Indian Equity marketsExperience of multiple sectors would be preferredFunctional and Behavioral requirementsUnderstanding of Indian economy & equity marketStrong understanding of Fundamental and Quantitative AnalysisIn-depth understanding of sectors under coverageStrong financial modelling skills. Basic Knowledge of Portfolio Construction & ReviewUnderstanding of Risk Management in InvestingSound Excel & PPT skills
