Position: Legislative & Policy AssociateLocation: On-site (Bihar)Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and research-driven Legislative & Policy Associate to work closely with the office of a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). The selected candidate will support policy research, legislative procedures, documentation, and strategic development initiatives.on-ground, on-site role, requiring the candidate to be based at the MLA’s designated location (to be communicated during the final stages of selection). The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to governance, public policy, and constituency development.Key Responsibilities1. Legislative Research & Analysis• Conduct thorough research on legislative procedures, rules of the Assembly, and ongoing bills.• Prepare briefing notes, issue papers, and talking points for legislative sessions.• Track policy developments, government schemes, relevant notifications and emerging issues.2. Policy Development & Documentation• Assist in drafting new policy frameworks and program concepts.• Prepare white papers, research documents, and recommendations based on evidence and data.• Evaluate existing policies and suggest improvements.3. Constituency & Governance Support• Analyse key constituency issues, development indicators, and grievance patterns.• Assist in planning and monitoring constituency-level projects and initiatives.• Coordinate with officials, partners, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.4.
