Basketball CoachIntroductionAkanksha Singh Basketball (ASB) is a high performance basketball training centre located at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, Bangalore.Founded by the veteran international basketball player Akanksha Singh. Akanksha was the Captain of the Indian Women's basketball team in the year 2012 and represented the Indian national women’s basketball team for 17 years. She was also ranked as one of the 4 best players in the country.The athletes of ASB train on an Indoor FIBA level 2 Basketball court. ASB is focussed on making basketball successful as well as giving back. Working with us is joining a group of passionate basketball players who are also professionals keen on scaling the sport through training, events and competitions.We’re looking for a Basketball Coach to:Coach our academy programs where students either commute to our centre or live with us short or long term in academy housing. Working with them daily and taking leadership of every session to create India’s next generation of basketball athletes.Key Skills Previous experience coaching and/or playing at a high level Ability to communicate and give feedback freely to beginners, intermediate and parents alike. Working with a team of coaching staff with varied assignments. Team training, Making practice plans and discussing it with the coaches. Training levels - Open to training beginners, school teams, Intermediate and advanced (elite) athletes and so on. Passionate about coaching, about giving players positive motivation and being a positive role model Use the computer to generate reports, assessments, review and progress.Hours and Pay 6 days a week, with flexible days off.
