Job Title: Manager – Project DevelopmentDepartment: Business Development Location: Gurgaon, Head OfficeAbout the Company:We are amongst the top 10 largest renewable IPPs in India in terms of total capacity* as of December 31, 2024. We develop, build, operate, and maintain projects through our in-house engineering, procurement, construction, operations & maintenance teams. Our portfolio of projects includes wind, solar, wind-solar hybrid and firm and dispatchable renewable energy including battery energy storage systems. For more information, please visit, Key Responsibilities:Drive business development initiatives for Solar, Wind and Hybrid projects, including site identification, land acquisition and partnership development.Identify and engage with potential developers, aggregators, and land partners in key focus states to build a strong project pipeline.Conduct market research and assess potential project locations based on wind resource, infrastructure availability, and regulatory landscape.Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and approvals related to land, forest, and environmental clearances.Evaluate risks associated with land acquisition and project development; recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.Lead and coordinate legal due diligence (DD) processes with internal and external legal teams to ensure clear and marketable land titles.Support drafting, negotiation, and execution of Sale/Lease Deeds, MoUs, and other project-related agreements.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Project Management to ensure project readiness and smooth handover for execution.Liaise with government authorities, local agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and regulatory compliance.Manage project documentation, timelines, and coordination efforts to align with overall business objectives.Obtain key statutory approvals and NOCs such as from the Airport Authority of India (AAI), Ministry of Defence (MoD), and other relevant bodies.Contribute to business strategy by identifying emerging opportunities and supporting project evaluation, feasibility studies, and financial modeling inputs.Maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, government departments, and local partners to support long-term business growth.Our Ideal CandidateSignificant experience in land acquisition involving Revenue/Private/Forest Land exploring potential site acquisitions, preparing valuation reports for acquisition, and negotiating to acquire land.4-12 Years of hands-on experience in Land procurement/acquisition for renewable energy projects.Excellent communication skills for effective communication with team members, cross functional teams, and other stakeholders.Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to forests and land.Familiarity with land acquisition processes, including procurement, leasing, easement, etc., for renewable power projects.Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.Proficiency in identifying suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects.Proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.Strong organizational and project management skills to execute land procurement targets, plans, and project development activities.Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges in land acquisition and project development.Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability principles.
