Role PurposeWe are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager who will own Winfomi’s day-to-day finance operations, project-wise financial control, budgeting, and forecasting, while working closely with external CA firms for statutory and compliance matters.This role is critical in enabling leadership to take timely, data-backed business decisions as Winfomi scales.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Operations & Accounting (In-House Ownership)- Own end-to-end invoice processing (client invoices, credit notes, follow-ups) - Track accounts receivable, payable, and cash flow - Maintain accurate books and ensure data readiness before sharing with external CA - Manage expense tracking and approvals in line with company policy - Coordinate vendor payments and ensure payment disciplineProject-wise Financial Control- Prepare and maintain project-wise P&L (revenue, cost, margin) - Compare estimated vs actual cost and flag margin risks early - Work with delivery and HR teams to track project costs accurately - Provide insights on project profitability and efficiencyBudgeting & Forecasting- Prepare annual and monthly budgets - Maintain rolling 3–6 month cash flow forecasts - Analyze budget vs actuals and highlight variances - Support leadership with scenario planning (hiring, tools, expansion)MIS & Decision Support- Prepare monthly MIS reports for leadership - Provide clear, simple financial insights (not heavy finance jargon) - Answer key questions such as: - Can we afford a new hire? - Which projects or clients are most profitable? - Where are costs increasing unexpectedly?External CA & Compliance Coordination- Act as the single point of contact for external CA firms - Ensure timely sharing of clean, accurate financial data - Support GST, TDS, income tax, audit, and statutory filings - Follow up on compliance timelines and closureProcess Building & Financial Discipline- Define and improve finance SOPs (invoicing, expenses, approvals) - Strengthen internal financial controls - Improve accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of financial data - Support leadership in building a finance-first cultureReporting Structure- Reports directly to the Founder & CEO - Works closely with HR, Delivery Leads, Sales, and External CARequired Experience- 5–8 years of experience in finance / accounting roles - Experience in IT services, consulting, or project-based organizations preferred - Prior experience working with external CA firms is mandatoryRequired Skills- Strong understanding of project costing & P&L - Good working knowledge of Indian accounting & taxation basics - Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets - Ability to simplify numbers into actionable insights - High ownership mindset and attention to detailDesired Traits (Very Important)- Hands-on and execution-oriented - Calm, disciplined, and trustworthy - Comfortable in a fast-growing, evolving environment - Able to question numbers and highlight risks respectfully - Aligns with Winfomi’s values of Customer Success, Innovation, and TrustWhat Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)- Clean, reliable monthly financial reports - Clear visibility into project-wise profitability - Improved cash flow predictability - Reduced dependency on external CA for internal finance clarity - Leadership can make faster, confident financial decisionsGrowth OpportunityAs Winfomi scales, this role has the potential to evolve into a Head of Finance / Finance Controller role, based on performance and business needs.Closing Note“This role is not about maintaining accounts.It is about building financial clarity that fuels growth.”
