The OpportunityWe seek an experienced, entrepreneurial leader to take full ownership and P&L responsibility for scaling our Semiconductor Design Services business unit. While the founder focuses on product IP development, this leader will be the core driver of services revenue growth, operational excellence, and team expansion. This role demands a proven ability to lead and deliver complex, semiconductor service projects.III. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Business Strategy and Growth (5X Mandate)- Strategic Planning: Define the 3-year strategic roadmap to achieve a 5X increase in services revenue and corresponding team strength. - P&L Management: Full financial ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing models (NRE and hourly rates), and ensuring high gross margins. - Business Development: Act as the business face of SDS, driving new customer acquisition, negotiating complex service contracts, and maintaining relationships with key domestic and international clients (ODMs/EMS).B. Business & Operational Leadership- Delivery Excellence: Oversee all active design projects (AMS/PMIC), ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to customer specifications, and strict quality controls for tape-out readiness. - Resource Management: Manage resource allocation, utilization, and prioritization across all service projects. Implement and refine best-in-class project management and risk mitigation processes. - Business Authority: Serve as the business strategist and decision maker for growing service businessC. Talent Acquisition and Development- Recruitment: Lead the aggressive hiring plan required to scale the team 5X, attracting top-tier global talent in AMS, Layout, and Verification. - Mentorship & Culture: Foster a high-performance, results-driven engineering culture focused on technical rigor, innovation, and client satisfaction.IV. Required Qualifications- Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in the semiconductor industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role managing a Design Services P&L or a large design team. - Track Record: Proven ability to successfully negotiate, win, and deliver complex, full-chip design projects from specification to production/tape-out. - Business Acumen: Demonstrated experience in business development, customer relationship management, and financial planning for a high-growth technical organization.V.
