Senior Manager – Learning & DevelopmentDesignationSenior Manager – Learning & DevelopmentReason for HiringGrowth – Expansion of language, culture and soft-skills training vertical requiring senior leadership who can own delivery, strengthen quality, and drive revenue through client-facing excellence.Reporting StructureMD, CEO (Varun) – Weekly 1-on-1s, monthly leadership review, ongoing coordination with operations, sales and employer-partnership teams.Critical Problem to SolveBuild a structured, outcome-driven training system aligned with client expectations and Senior Manager – Learning & Development sales needs.Objectives – First 30 Days• Audit current training systems, teacher quality and workflows.• Meet employer partners for feedback and expectations.• Establish client-facing reporting systems.• Prepare a 90-day training and tech-integration roadmap.Objectives – First 90 Days• Launch improved training modules (language + culture + soft-skills).• Introduce technology/AI-supported tools for learner experience and teacher productivity.• Run a pilot cohort with measurable outcomes.• Present updates to clients and support BD pitches.Objectives – First 180 Days• Scale training delivery for BD pipeline.• Build AI-enabled assessments and certification.• Consolidate platforms into a unified training stack.• Reduce operational workload by 20–30% via automation.• Represent TMC in employer audits/onboarding.• Support BD with proposals and hiring of senior instructors.Long-Term Vision (12+ Months)A fully operational, data-driven L&D + Client Success vertical delivering measurable outcomes, increased margins, and strong employer trust.Team StructureLanguage trainers, cultural/soft-skills trainers, program leads, junior operations assistants; coordination with Marketing, BD, employer-partnership teams and company strategy leadership.Skills & Competencies Required• L&D expertise: curriculum design, assessments, certifications.• Data & analytics: KPI tracking, dashboards, reports.• Technology & AI adoption: LMS, digital classrooms, automation.• Business & financial skills: cost optimisation, forecasting.• Client & BD facing: strong presentation and relationship skills.Personality TraitsGrowth-oriented, analytical, tech-driven, resourceful, empathetic and operationally rigorous.Working ModelFlexible (Mumbai office + hybrid); vesting based on targets and tenure.Career PathHead of L&D (12–18 months); Director – Global L&D + Employer Partnerships (24–36 months).Preferred BackgroundCorporate L&D, international education, language schools, employability training, staffing, universities, CSR skilling; international client experience preferred.Eligibility CriteriaAge 30–45; Master’s degree preferred (Education, Linguistics, HR, International Development, Communication or similar).
