Sucheta Business Consultancy is hiring for its Pune Shared Services Centre on behalf of a UK-based healthcare group. We support HR, payroll, and finance operations for hospitals and clinics across the UK. We are expanding and seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead UK payroll delivery from India.Role SummaryThe Payroll Manager will lead end-to-end UK payroll activities from Pune, manage a team of a minimum of three payroll executives, and act as the key point of contact for UK HR, Finance and external payroll partners. The role requires strong UK payroll expertise, people leadership experience, and a continuous improvement mindset.Key Responsibilities- Own monthly UK payroll cycles including validations, gross-to-net checks, reconciliations, statutory filings and year-end activities (P60, P11D, etc.). - Supervise a team of 3 payroll analysts; ensure accuracy, SLAs, and issue resolution. - Liaise with UK HR/Finance, payroll vendors and technical teams to manage escalations and ensure smooth delivery. - Maintain compliance with UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, pensions, statutory payments). - Oversee payroll data integrity across HRIS (Dayforce), time & attendance and benefits systems. - Strengthen controls: approvals, documentation, audit support, and process governance. - Drive improvements in standardisation, automation, and workflow efficiency. - Support payroll transitions, system enhancements, and new entity onboarding projects.Candidate Profile- 8–12 years of payroll experience with 3–5 years in UK payroll and people/team leadership. - Strong knowledge of PAYE, NI, pensions/auto-enrolment, statutory pay (SMP/SSP), and HMRC compliance. - Experience with payroll accounting, reconciliations and basic GL interfaces. - Hands-on experience with HRIS/payroll solutions—Dayforce experience is a plus. - Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, reconciliations). - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with UK teams. - High accuracy, ownership and ability to manage tight deadlines.Work Pattern- Location: Pune – Sinhgad Road - Shift: UK Shift (12pm–9pm IST) - Work Mode: On-site - Preference for Pune-based candidates with immediate or short-notice availability.Compensation- CTC: ₹15–18 LPA, based on experience and fit. - Includes PF, gratuity, health insurance and other standard benefits.Why Join Us?- Work directly with a UK healthcare organisation on high-impact payroll operations. - Lead and shape payroll processes for a growing global shared services centre. - Exposure to international stakeholders and transformation projects. - Strong career growth pathway in HR/Payroll leadership.If you are ready to lead UK payroll delivery and build a high-performance team, we’d love to hear from you.
