Photon is known for creating amazing mobile-first digital customer experiences and designs; and delivers technical expertise across all levels of corporate infrastructure.Note: Work from Office (All 5 days)API Automation Engineer – Notification Hub QARole SummaryThe API Automation QA Engineer ensures quality and reliability across Notification Hub workflows by validating API behavior, event routing, message transformations, webhook ingestion, and preference synchronization. This role builds automated test suites for end-to-end message flows.Key Responsibilities- Develop automated test suites for Notification Hub services (Router, Webhook, Preference Sync). - Validate event flows: publisher → Pub/Sub → Router → vendor → webhook → preference sync. - Validate Avro schemas, transformations, and enrichment logic. - Test SLA and scaling behavior (e.g., peak ~320 events/sec). - Validate webhook ingestion, signature checks, and routing behavior. - Automate DLQ, retry, idempotency, and error-handling scenarios. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.)Required Skills & Experience- 4–7 years API automation experience. - Strong experience with REST API testing frameworks (RestAssured, Karate, Newman/Postman, etc.). - Experience testing event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, or equivalent). - Understanding of JSON/Avro payload validation, schema evolution, and data mapping. - Familiar with debugging distributed systems and asynchronous processing flows.Preferred- Experience validating messaging or notification systems.
