As Australia’s largest recycler, it processes 40% of Australian households recycling. Visy also supports customers with logistics, packaging supplies, point of sale displays and more. At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business.Overview:Position summary:Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position will undertake commercial analysis to drive internal efficiency and lower the cost to serve within the business while conducting finance activities for certain business units. This includes business reporting, system improvements, analytical & accounting support and helping the setup of new businesses as required.There will be a close working relationship with operational teams which will include attending meetings and giving support where needed as their finance business partner.Key responsibilities:Results Preparation and Reporting:- Responsible for the preparation and reporting of results, ensuring integrity and timeliness. - Utilize SAP and Hyperion for financial reporting and monitor full business systems. - Prepare financial and statistical journals and submit reports accurately. - Prepare & review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations - Timely review and approval of employee expense claims, vendor invoices and prompt paymentsManagement Accounting & Reporting:- Forecast month-end results with weekly estimates. - Analyse current performance using historical and estimated costs, assisting management with evaluations. - Review costs, follow up on overruns, and ensure correct reporting treatment. - Monitor, analyse, and report monthly expenditures - Focus on non-standard distribution costs - Conduct analysis of results, forecasts, and budgets - Support continuous improvement of business processes - Determine and monitor corrective actions as needed. - Provide business and financial analysis and establish KPI metrics.Forecasting and Budgeting:- Regularly update monthly profit and KPI results. - Forecast monthly outcomes to year-end and submit operational reports. - Prepare annual forecasts, conduct variance analysis, and manage the budget preparation. - Utilise Hyperion for planning and reporting; develop improved reporting formats.Internal Control and Compliance:- Ensure compliance with Visy Industries policies, including OH&S standards. - Maintain data integrity within SAP and manage integration activity. - Support external and internal audit tasks, including Workcover calculations and FBT returns.Lodge files accurately and on time. Capital Expenditure and Business Process Improvement:- Assist with managing the capital expenditure program and prepare CAPEX reports. - Monitor project progress and attend project meetings. - Identify and drive process improvements and profit improvement initiatives.Business Partnering and Intercompany Accounting:- Provide finance support to key stakeholders and analytic support as requested. - Review intercompany differences and monitor entry accuracy. - Ensure items are cleared within three months of posting. - Collaborate with Shared Services on cash management, payables, and receivables.Key requirements:Mandatory (critical for the role):- Minimum 10 years’ experience working in Financing/Accounting roles. - Tertiary qualification with CA or CPA. - Ability to take the initiative and seek continuous improvement. - Commercial business sense. - Experience with stakeholder management - Effective, clear and confident communication.Desirable (preferable for the role):- Experience in logistics / supply chain industry or similar. - SAP experience.Hyperion experience.- Strong attention to detail and organization skills. - Advanced spreadsheet and modelling skills, including use of pivot tables, graphical analysis, and robust data quality methods - Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. - High Level analytical, evaluation, research, problem solving and design/management skills - Ability to function with multiple projects and tasks. - Demonstrated advanced ability to be systematic, methodical and organised to meet established deadlines and achieve high quality work outcomes. - Excellent communication skills.
