Surface & Class-A design is at the core of our product quality, precision, and brand identity. Role Overview This role combines leadership with hands-on Class-A surfacing. You will own exterior and interior surface quality, guide digital sculpting teams, and ensure design intent is perfectly translated into production-ready Class-A surfaces. Key Responsibilities - Lead Class-A surfacing for exterior & interior components - Work with design, engineering, and digital sculpting teams - Develop high-quality surfaces using Alias / ICEM Surf - Refine surfaces for manufacturability, feasibility & quality - Collaborate with studio engineers & clay modelers - Conduct surface reviews, highlight maps, quality scans - Ensure surfaces meet Aerpace’s design language & standards - Manage surfacing timelines and deliverables Required Qualifications - 10+ years of Automotive Surface/Class-A experience - Expertise in Autodesk Alias or ICEM Surf (mandatory) - Strong understanding of automotive geometry & manufacturing - Experience working with design, studio engineering, CAD & clay - Ability to deliver production-ready Class-A surfaces - Strong knowledge of G2/G3 continuity & highlight behavior Preferred - EV platform experience - Exterior + interior surfacing versatility - Experience with rapid prototyping & VR/AR reviews - Understanding of trims, lighting & body engineering constraints Why Join Aerpace - Define surfacing for ground-up EV programs - High precision, high-impact position - Work closely with top designers & engineers - Create surfaces that define future mobility aesthetics Apply Send Portfolio + Resume to: kshitij@ | careers@
