Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Functional Safety Engineer to support the development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in compliance with ISO 26262 Part-4 (System Level). The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of ISO 26262 Parts-5 (Hardware) and Part-6 (Software), and familiarity with SOTIF (ISO/PAS 21448) is a strong advantage. This role involves leading safety engineering activities across the system development lifecycle and delivering key safety work products.Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute functional safety activities in accordance with ISO 26262 Part 3 and 4(HARA, FSC, TSC). - Support and contribute to safety lifecycle activities from Parts 5 and 6. - Drive the creation and maintenance of critical functional safety work products throughout the safety lifecycle, including Technical Safety Requirements (TSR), Hardware Safety Requirements (HSR), Software Safety Requirements (SSR) and System Architecture Design - Performing safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA, DFA and FMEDA is advantage - Ensure traceability of safety requirements across system, hardware, and software levels. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure implementation and verification of safety mechanisms. - Support SOTIF analysis and validation for ADAS features. - Participate in Verification and confirmation reviews and technical assessments - Participate in safety assessments, audits, and reviews.-Preferred Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in automotive or industrial domains. - Proven experience with ISO 26262 Part-4 and working knowledge of Parts 5 and 6. - Strong understanding of ISO26262, SOTIF (ISO/PAS 21448), IEC 61508, or equivalent safety standards - Hands-on experience in ADAS systems (e.g., LKA, ACC, AEB, etc.). - Strong understanding of system engineering and V-model development. - Experience with TSC, FMEA, FTA, and safety lifecycle methods and processes. - Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion) and Safety Analysis tools (e.g Isograph, Medini). - Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. - Certified Functional Safety Engineer (e.g., TÜV SÜD, SGS-TÜV) is a plusFamiliarity with ASPICE and cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434) is a plu
