The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in criminal record verification, employment verification, and other critical checks while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and data privacy standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Background VerificationConduct criminal background checks (court records, police verification, global databases)Perform employment verification (current & past employers)Handle education, address, identity, and reference verificationExecute global background checks (US, UK, APAC, EMEA, Middle East, etc.)Manage verifications across IT, Non-IT, BFSI, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, and other domainsClient & Vendor CoordinationLiaise with clients, candidates, employers, and verification vendorsCoordinate with international partners for global checksEnsure accurate and timely completion of reports as per SLACompliance & QualityEnsure adherence to local and global compliance standards (India IT Act, GDPR, FCRA where applicable)Maintain confidentiality and data security of candidate informationReview and validate verification results for accuracy and consistencyIdentify red flags, discrepancies, and prepare detailed reportsReporting & DocumentationPrepare comprehensive BGV reports with findings and recommendationsMaintain audit-ready documentation and case recordsTrack verification status using BGV tools or ATS platformsRequired Skills & QualificationsExperience & Knowledge3+ years of experience in Background Verification (BGV)Proven expertise in criminal record verification and employment verificationExperience handling end-to-end BGV lifecycleHands-on exposure to global BGV processesStrong understanding of IT & Non-IT industry hiring practicesTechnical & Process SkillsExperience using BGV tools, ATS, and CRM systemsProficiency in MS Excel, documentation, and reportingKnowledge of court databases, police verification processes, and employer verification methodsFamiliarity with vendor management and escalation handling
