We are seeking exceptional Principal Investigators (PIs) to lead cutting-edge research in areas such as Computer Vision, Machine Learning, AI, and Computational Imaging. These roles are ideal for individuals with a strong academic background who also understand how to navigate the constraints and opportunities of applied, product-focused research.We're looking for translational thinkers—individuals who can bridge the gap between theoretical research and real-world applications, developing both publishable research and functional prototypes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in their domain and be excited by the opportunity to work in a high-impact, cross-disciplinary environment.Required Background- PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, AI, or Computational Imaging - 5+ years of post-PhD research or applied research experience (can include industry, academia, or research labs) - 5+ years of postdoctoral or industry research experience. - Demonstrated ability to lead high impact applied research projects or labsDesirable Traits- Strong publication record in top-tier conferences - Proven contributions to relevant ML projects in the space - Proven ability to bridge theory and practice, producing both prototypes and papers - Entrepreneurial mindset, excited by innovation and product impact - Experience mentoring PhD students, researchers, or junior engineers - Excellent communication skills; able to articulate technical ideas to non-expertsSoft Skills & Traits- Translation thinker: can turn vague or creative ideas into concrete technical plans - Highly collaborative with a clear, structured communication style - Innovative and self-motivated, capable of owning research direction and execution
