Job Purpose:To lead and manage the Credit evaluation and control function, ensuring timely collection of receivables, minimizing credit risk, and maintaining healthy cash flow while supporting business growth and customer relationshipsKey Responsibilities:1. Team management & Governance- Lead and manage a team of experienced credit controllers across head office and regional offices - Define and implement credit control procedures (Credit limits, policies) and strategies to manage the divisional credit exposure - Establish governance mechanisms and define KPIs for performance monitoring of the credit evaluation and control function2. Cash Flow & Financial Coordination- Liaise with the finance function to ensure healthy cash flow for the division, while driving: - ROCE and working capital optimization - Receivables forecasting accuracy - Reduction in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)3. Reporting & Analytics- Define and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, RSMs, and ZSMs to enable data-driven decision-making - Publish relevant reports and factsheets as per leadership requirements, including: Collection performance summaries, Aging analysis, Exception reports4. Operational Oversight- Coach and support the credit evaluation and control team in managing day-to-day activities using the Accounts Receivable solution - Expedite collection of doubtful debts through a defined escalation workflow and timely exception handling
