Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development: Implement and extend the VHAL (HIDL/AIDL) to support new vehicle-specific properties and services.Hardware Integration: Interface with Vehicle Network Processors and microcontrollers using protocols like CAN, CAN-FD, and Ethernet (SomeIP/DoIP).Optimization: Reduce boot time and optimize the latency of "Tell-Tale" signals (e.g., rearview camera, signal indicators) to meet automotive safety standards.System Debugging: Use logic analyzers and bus simulators (Vector CANoe/CANalyzer) to debug communication issues between the SoC and the ECU.Collaboration: Work closely with the Framework team to expose hardware data to the AAOS Car Service and third-party apps.Technical RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 5-10 years in embedded systems, specifically within the automotive domain.Programming: Strong proficiency in C++ and C.Android Internals: Hands-on experience with the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), specifically HIDL/AIDL, Binder IPC, and SELinux policies.Networking: Deep understanding of automotive protocols: CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.Kernel/Drivers: Familiarity with Linux kernel drivers and UART/I2C/SPI communication.
