Job Title: Background Verification (BGV) Specialist / Analyst Location:India Work Mode:Remote Experience:3–7 Years Employment Type:Full-Time / Contract Industry:Background Verification / HR ServicesJob Summary We are looking for an experiencedBackground Verification (BGV) Specialistto manageend-to-end background checksfor candidates acrossIT and Non-IT domains , bothIndia and global locations . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience incriminal record verification, employment verification , and other critical checks while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and data privacy standards. Key Responsibilities Core Background Verification Conductcriminal background checks(court records, police verification, global databases) Performemployment verification(current & past employers) Handleeducation, address, identity, and reference verification Executeglobal background checks(US, UK, APAC, EMEA, Middle East, etc.) Manage verifications acrossIT, Non-IT, BFSI, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail , and other domains Client & Vendor Coordination Liaise with clients, candidates, employers, and verification vendors Coordinate with international partners for global checks Ensure accurate and timely completion of reports as per SLA Compliance & Quality Ensure adherence tolocal and global compliance standards(India IT Act, GDPR, FCRA where applicable) Maintain confidentiality and data security of candidate information Review and validate verification results for accuracy and consistency Identify red flags, discrepancies, and prepare detailed reports Reporting & Documentation Prepare comprehensive BGV reports with findings and recommendations Maintain audit-ready documentation and case records Track verification status using BGV tools or ATS platforms Required Skills & Qualifications Experience & Knowledge 3+ years of experience inBackground Verification (BGV) Proven expertise incriminal record verificationandemployment verification Experience handlingend-to-end BGV lifecycle Hands-on exposure toglobal BGV processes Strong understanding of IT & Non-IT industry hiring practices Technical & Process Skills Experience usingBGV tools, ATS, and CRM systems Proficiency inMS Excel, documentation, and reporting Knowledge ofcourt databases, police verification processes , and employer verification methods Familiarity with vendor management and escalation handling
