Operations Automation Engineer (Clinical Ops + HIPAA Macro Bots) – Wellnite Location:Remote Type:Full-timeWhy? We’re scaling our clinical operations rapidly, and we need an automation expert who can transform repetitive, error-prone workflows into reliable, auditable, and HIPAA-compliant automations. You’ll build “macro bots” and AI-assisted systems that handle data entry, page crawling, and intelligent form-filling across clinical ops flows, delivering step-change improvements (10x productivity) without compromising privacy or safety.How?“One-click credentialing packet intake → field extraction → portal submission → confirmation logging.” “Roster change bot that crawls payer/provider portals, detects mismatches, and files updates with evidence + timestamps.” “Form autopilot that fills 30+ fields from structured source-of-truth and flags anything uncertain instead of guessing.” “Ops co-pilot that suggests next actions and generates compliant notes, while keeping PHI protected.”What?Automate clinical operations workflows end-to-end(credentialing/onboarding, roster updates, eligibility/verification inputs, claim status lookups, portal-based submissions, internal routing, etc.). Build HIPAA-compliant macro botsthat operate in secure environments with least-privilege access, audit trails, and robust exception handling. Intelligent form filling with AI:use LLMs and structured extraction to map messy inputs (PDFs, emails, webpages, spreadsheets) into clean, validated fields—then reliably populate web forms. Page crawling + portal automation:navigate multi-step flows, handle dynamic DOMs, MFA-friendly approaches, and resilient selectors. Data-entry automation at scale:reduce manual keystrokes across tools (web portals, internal dashboards, spreadsheets/CRMs) while maintaining accuracy and traceability. Monitoringandreliability:Build bot observability—alerts, retries, screenshot logs (where allowed), queueing, and runbooks — for ops teams. Security + compliance partnership:collaborate with Security/Compliance to ensure HIPAA alignment (BAAs, vendor reviews, data retention policies, PHI boundaries, incident response readiness).Good to have 4+ years buildingautomation systemsthat interact with web apps and forms (RPA, browser automation, or custom bots). Strong inPlaywright and/or Selenium(or equivalent) and comfortable with complex web flows. Experience withintelligent extraction / AI-assisted automation(LLMs, document parsing, schema mapping, confidence thresholds). Proven ability to make automationsproduction-grade : idempotency, retries, backoff, state handling, versioning, and testing. Comfort working inHIPAA-regulated environments , with strong instincts around PHI handling.Good to have Experience withRPA tools(UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate) and/or custom automation frameworks. Familiarity withsecure credential handling(vaults/KMS, rotation, secrets management). Knowledge ofaudit logging , data retention, and compliant access controls. Background automating workflows inhealthcare ops(credentialing, payer portals, EHR-related admin, claims support, etc.). Experience building internal tooling: queues, job runners, dashboards, role-based access.> Technical stack (flexible) We care about results.
