LEGAL ASSISTANT (U.S. Immigration Law)Location: T. Nagar, Chennai, India – On-Site | Full-TimeOrganization: Law Offices of Mary Kennedy, LLC (Headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA)The Law Offices of Mary Kennedy is hiring for its new physical branch in Chennai to strengthen client engagement, accelerate growth in India, and build long-term relationships with employers and beneficiaries. We are seeking high-caliber Legal Assistants with a strong legal foundation, exceptional accountability, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment.Training Plan (First 6 Months)During the initial training period, you will:Work remotely for approximately 2 hours per day at night (IST) to overlap with U.S. CST hoursAttend focused training sessions led by senior team members in the United StatesLearn U.S. immigration law workflows, petition drafting standards, documentation requirements, and client communication protocolsBecome familiar with the firm’s internal case management systems, tools, and processesReceive continuous feedback and performance evaluationsThis remote 2-hour night shift training will continue for approximately six months.After completing this phase successfully, you will transition to the full daytime shift (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST) and begin working on-site at the Chennai office, Monday to Friday.Transportation assistance may be offered depending on commute requirements.Mandatory QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Law, orPrior experience in U.S. immigration law (H-1B, I-140, NIW, EB-1, L-1, F-1, etc.)Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to understand and follow detailed legal processes and documentation requirementsStrong research skills and comfort with structured workflowsKey ResponsibilitiesWork closely with U.S.-based attorneys, caseworkers, and paralegals on employment-based immigration mattersSupport H-1B, PERM, I-140, L-1, EB-1, EB-2 NIW, and related filingsAssist with drafting petitions, reviewing evidence, organizing client documents, following SOPs, and meeting strict deadlinesYou are an excellent fit if you are:A legally trained professional wanting to build a long-term career in U.S. immigration lawHighly disciplined, self-driven, and comfortable working under structured processesAble to work independently with minimal supervisionLooking for a stable, long-term growth opportunity with a reputable U.S. immigration law firm
