Scope of the Role:- Responsible for creating, monitoring, and maintaining ClickHouse databases across multiple environments. - Automating database administration, monitoring, and alerting activities using scripting tools such as Shell, Python, or Perl. - Providing database design and architecture solutions, including performance optimization and capacity planning. - Ensuring high availability, data integrity, and compliance with security and governance standards for ClickHouse databases.You'll be Responsible for:- Ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of all ClickHouse databases. - Monitor database health, performance, and replication status across production and staging environments. - Implement and maintain data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. - Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and schema design improvements. - Automate database maintenance tasks using scripting languages and scheduled jobs. - Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure seamless database integration. - Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution. - Document database standards, operational procedures, and technical configurations. - Support application testing, releases, and production deployments from a database perspective. - Provide technical expertise on ClickHouse database features, replication models, and scalability strategies.Qualification and Experience- B.E./B.Tech/MCA from a premier institute. - 7 –10 years of experience in database administration, with at least 3+ years focused on ClickHouse. - Proven experience in managing enterprise-scale ClickHouse clusters in production environments.What you'd have:- Expert-level knowledge in Click House database installation, configuration, and cluster management. - Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and data modelling for analytical workloads. - Experience in designing and maintaining distributed ClickHouse clusters with replication and sharding. - Strong understanding of backup and recovery mechanisms specific to ClickHouse. - Familiarity with ClickHouse ecosystem tools and integrations (Kafka, Zookeeper, etc.). - Experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and shell scripting. - Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ClickHouse deployment. - Experience with database monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for query optimization and performance enhancement. - Understanding of data security, user access management, and compliance practices.Why Join Us?- Impactful Work: Play a pivotal role in safeguarding Tanla's assets, data, and reputation in the industry. - Tremendous Growth Opportunities: Be part of a rapidly growing company in the telecom and CPaaS space, with opportunities for professional development. - Innovative Environment: Work alongside a world-class team in a challenging and fun environment, where innovation is celebrated.Tanla is an equal opportunity employer.
