Applications with a pattern of frequent job changes may not align with the values we prioritize.Your Mission You will play a key role in building, customizing, and maintaining a high-quality e-commerce storefront using Shopify. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on with Shopify development and comfortable working in a client-facing environment, as direct communication with end customers is a critical part of the job. The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills. You will actively participate in requirement discussions, provide updates, clarify feedback, and help guide customers with best practices for Shopify and e-commerce implementations.What You’ll Do Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify storefronts based on business and design requirements. Build and modify Shopify themes, templates, sections, and snippets using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Implement and enhance e-commerce functionalities including product pages, collections, cart, checkout, and promotions. § Integrate and configure Shopify apps and third-party services as needed.Collaborate with designers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Actively participate in client-facing discussions, requirement gathering, feedback sessions, and demos.Ensure website responsiveness, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.Troubleshoot and resolve Shopify-related issues and bugs.Follow best practices for code quality, security, and scalability.Support store launches, updates, and post-production maintenance.Work within Agile/Scrum processes including daily stand-ups and sprint planning.What You Bring Hands-on Shopify DevelopmentStrong experience working with Shopify themes and custom development.Proficiency in Liquid templating language, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.Experience customizing Shopify themes, building custom sections, and modifying templates. Ability to integrate third-party Shopify apps and custom features.Excellent Communication SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to directly interact with end customers to understand requirements, clarify expectations, and provide progress updates.Comfortable participating in client calls, requirement discussions, and demosGood to have skills E-Commerce ExperiencePrior experience working on e-commerce projects, preferably Shopify-based.Understanding of e-commerce concepts such as product catalogs, collections, checkout flows, carts, discounts, and promotions.Experience with payment gateways, shipping configurations, and tax settings.Experience with Shopify Plus features and custom checkout (where applicable).Knowledge of Shopify APIs, webhooks, and custom app development.Familiarity with SEO best practices for e-commerce websites.Experience integrating third-party tools such as analytics, marketing, CRM, or ERP systems.Basic understanding of performance optimization for Shopify stores.Experience with Git/version control.What We Offer At Newpage, we’re building a company that works smart and grows with agility—where driven individuals come together to do work that matters.We offer:A people-first culture – Supportive peers, open communication, and a strong sense of belonging.
