This role is ideal for an ecology or conservation professional who can translatebiodiversity co-benefits into measurable, verifiable insightsthat strengthen carbon-removal and climate-tech products.Location:Remote Role Type:Contract (6 month) Experience:6+ Years ⚡Joining:Immediate / Short Notice PreferredRole Overview The Biodiversity Lead will ensure biodiversity co-benefits arecaptured, monitored, quantified, and communicatedacross all carbon-removal projects (ARR, Blue Carbon, Biochar, DAC, etc.). This is atechnical + strategic role , working closely with biodiversity partners, auditors, and product teams to embed biodiversity outcomes intoverification, certification, and market-ready insights .Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and oversee frameworks to measure and monitorbiodiversity co-benefitsacross carbon-removal projects Collaborate with external biodiversity partners and leverage their monitoring tools Evaluate biodiversity projects and assess their technical and strategic fit Work with auditors and product teams to integrate biodiversity outcomes intoverification and certification processes Maintain biodiversity indicator databases aligned with carbon accounting methodologies and global reporting frameworks Provide technical guidance on biodiversity assessments (habitat quality, species diversity, ecosystem resilience) Track advancements in biodiversity measurement, natural capital accounting, and ecosystem monitoring toolsRequired QualificationsAdvanced degree inEcology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology , or related field 6+ yearsof experience in biodiversity monitoring, ecosystem assessment, or conservation projects Strong understanding ofglobal biodiversity frameworksand biodiversity–climate linkages Proficiency indata management and GIS toolsfor ecosystem and biodiversity analysis Experience working withmultidisciplinary, globally distributed, remote teams Understanding of biodiversity credits Strong passion for climate innovation, sustainability, and measurable environmental impactDesirable QualificationsPhD in Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field Experience incarbon-based or carbon-removal projects Established network within the biodiversity or conservation community Multilingual proficiencyHow to Apply Interested candidates, please email yourupdated resumetocareer@with the subject line: “Biodiversity Lead – Contract – Remote” Please include the following details in your email: Full Name Mobile# Total Experience Relevant Experience Experience with biodiversity monitoring / ecosystem assessment Experience with carbon or climate-tech projects (if any) Proficiency with GIS / biodiversity data tools Current CTC: Expected CTC: Notice Period & Last Working Day Current Location Are you comfortable with a6-month contract role ?
