Our Technology Business Unit is establishing the unified, high-value strategic data platform that will maximize business acceleration globally.We are looking for an Executive Data Leader to join us as our Head of Data. You will not just manage a team; you will be the strategic authority accountable for defining, building, and governing the Group’s core Data Platform.We envision working with an influential specialist ready to take ownership of the global data strategy and technology modernization. We believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, where our people are cared for, and are happy and inspired to build an extraordinary place to work.What You Will DoAs the Head of Data, you will command the entire data platform lifecycle and strategy:Strategy Ownership: Define and enforce the global 3-5 year Global Data Strategy and the Modern Data Architecture (Data Mesh/Lakehouse model).Platform Delivery & Enablement: Oversee the build of core platform components, mandate the "Data-as-a-Product" operating model, and maximize self-service capabilities for all business units.Data Governance & Trust: Institute and enforce a robust Data Governance Framework, including ownership of the Master Data Management (MDM) strategy and Data Quality controls.Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Data Analysts, Data Analyst Leads, and Data Scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence.Innovation & Tech Selection: Drive competitive advantage through the selection, implementation, and governance of advanced tooling, including MLOps, Vector DBs, and Gen AI infrastructure.What You BringA specialist skill set ready for immediate deployment.Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Data, Analytics, or Data Science, with 5+ years in a senior leadership (Head of) role within a complex, global, platform-focused environment.Core Technical Skills: Expert command of Data Mesh, MLOps, and Gen AI infrastructure. Proven track record in building and scaling highly available, cloud-native Data Platforms.Competencies: Exceptional C-suite level communication and proven success implementing formal Data Governance (MDM, Data Quality) within a self-service, decentralised model. Strong strategic influence and leadership skills.Minimum Qualification: Postgraduate or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.We're building the future of enterprise commerce, one insight at a time!
