The Data Analyst supports the global digitalization strategy by enabling new product development, improving laboratory efficiency, and supporting cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Marketing, OEM). The role contributes to the setup, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a global materials data management system, ensuring high data quality and usability.Major Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement digitalization tools to improve laboratory and business efficiencyBuild workflows, automation solutions, and automated reports using Python and related technologiesAnalyze and manipulate data using Excel and internal systems; maintain and enhance product/materials databasesEnsure data quality through data cleaning, processing, and continuous improvementCollaborate with project teams to expand data coverage and usabilitySupport AI implementation and advanced data analytics initiativesAct as focal point for database suppliers, user training, and technical supportEnsure compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards, and company policiesQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a Science-related fieldStrong skills in Microsoft Excel and data managementHands-on experience with Python; knowledge of VBA and SQL preferredSolid understanding of data analytics and data visualizationBasic knowledge of machine learning conceptsExperience in database development and maintenanceMinimum 3 years of experience in an R&D environmentBasic knowledge of materials, polymer properties, and polymer analytics is an advantageGood written and verbal communication skillsCustomer-oriented, well-structured, proactive, and detail-focused with strong ownership and curiosity
