Department/Function: Research & Development3. Reporting Structure:Reports to: Process Development4. Role Summary:We are seeking an individual to join our process development team and support the successful development and characterization of clinical-scale manufacturing processes for Chimeric Antigen Receptor T cell (CART) therapies. 5. Key Responsibilities:Actively contribute to successful development, qualification and execution of robust high throughput CART manufacturing process.Perform flow cytometry and ELISA based experiments for cellular characterization and analysis of CART products.Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, ensure timely completion of experiments and contribute to technical reports related to regulatory filing.Apply good organizational skills, and sound scientific and technical experience to establish high-quality lab practices.Establish personal accountability, demonstrate good interpersonal skills, collaborate with team members and key stakeholders, including other cross functional teams.Strictly adhere to safety protocols, regulatory standards, and laboratory guidelines while performing experiments.Vendor management, qualification, selection and co-ordination for analytical development.Maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments / co-ordination with service engineers, application scientists.Resource management: ordering of reagents, consumables & inventory management.7. Competencies Required:Experience in designing and performing genetic engineering on cultured mammalian cells.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and preclinical study design for therapeutic development.Experience in analytical methods for the characterization of cell and gene related therapies.Proven track record of problem solving and the ability to adapt and integrate new technologies into existing projects.Highly organized with excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Self-motivated with a strong collaborative mindset.Technical Competencies:Multi-Parameter Flow cytometry using BD or BC FACS platformCell sorting techniques using Miltenyi or other magnetic selection platformsCell culture techniques of primary tissues including T and B lymphocytesExperience in maintaining cell linesCryopreservation techniquesCytotoxicity assays using Flow cytometry and ELISA platformsCytokine assays using Flow cytometry and ELISA platformsCell proliferation assay using CFSE, BrdU (other non radioactive methods)Molecular assays including ddPCR, qPCR, PCRInvitro assay development using flow cytometry and ELISAGood documentation practiceExperience in FlowJo, Cyt Expert, GraphPad PRISM and Microsoft Office Suite8. Qualifications:MSc, MTech with 3-5 years or PhD with 1-2 years of experience in cellular biology, Immunology or other biological sciences discipline with advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.Specialization in Immunology and T cell biology alongside applied skills in cell biology, particularly in primary T cell culture and immunologic characterization will be a plus.9. Working Conditions:Role Type: Full Time and OnsiteWork Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM for the General Shift and 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM for the Post-Noon Shift (on a rotational basis). There will be two days off each week, which may not necessarily fall on a Saturday or Sunday.
