Job Title:Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) Location:Ahmedabad, India Experience:4+ Years Department:IT / Database AdministrationJob Summary As anOracle DBA , you will be responsible for theinstallation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and support of Oracle database environmentsacross development, test, and production systems. You’ll work closely with application teams, system administrators, and other IT stakeholders to ensure database reliability, high availability, data integrity, and optimal performance.Note :Only immediate Joiner️ Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintainOracle database softwareand related tools. N Monitor database performance and implementperformance tuningand optimization strategies. Plan and executebackup and recoveryprocedures and disaster recovery plans. Implement and enforcesecurity policies , user management, roles, and permissions. Maintain database objects such astables, indexes, views, sequences, stored procedures . Troubleshoot database issues and support application teams with SQL and performance problems. Control database changes throughlifecycle migrationand support release management. Implement capacity planning and growth forecasting for database environments. Maintain documentation of configurations, standards, procedures, and database policies. Provideproduction supportand coordinate with infrastructure and application teams. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills ✔ Strong hands-on experience withOracle database versions (11g/12c/18c/19c) . LinkedIn ✔ Installation, patching, and upgrades of Oracle RDBMS. ✔ Proficiency inSQL and PL/SQL , stored procedures, functions, and scripting. ✔ Experience withbackup & recovery strategies(RMAN, Data Pump). ✔ Databaseperformance tuning and monitoringusing tools (OEM, AWR, etc.). LinkedIn ✔ Knowledge ofUnix/Linuxshell scripting and OS fundamentals. Preferred (Nice to Have) ⭐ Experience withOracle RAC ,Data Guard ,ASM . LinkedIn ⭐ Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle services (OCI/AWS/Azure) and automation tools. LinkedIn ⭐ Understanding of data modelling, capacity planning, and database security best practices. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science / IT / Engineeringor related field.
