At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business.OverviewPosition Summary:The Corporate Accountant will be an integral member of the overall accounting team.They will be responsible for undertaking financial operations across the Group, but primarily in the areas of BRR Projects and Group Capital and Assets.The role comprises accounting and finance transactional duties, systems & process improvements, commercial and management support to related stakeholders.Key responsibilities:What are the primary responsibilities of the role?Financial Management:Support for mid-month estimate and month end closing of projects P&LMonthly accruals review and processingPrepare and review balance sheet items monthlyIntercompany differences and reconciliationReview and variance analysis of Business Area cost centre activitySupport for budget, forecast, 5 Year Plan reportingTimely processing of invoices & paymentsEnsure compliance to Visy’s Accounting Policy and StandardsBRR Projects Support:Creation of POs, invoices, new vendor setups, prompt payment requests and assisting purchasing with any issuesPrepare and post Drafting charges to sitesEnsure Projects management fees are billed on a timely basisCapital & Assets Support:Assist in monitoring and preparing reports on capex expenditureMonitor monthly cash flows & activities on all open capital projectsPrepare major project monthly reporting packs & reconciliationPrepare the "Approved CAPEX" list to relevant stakeholdersConduct analytics for CAPEX requests, capitalisation, asset disposal, and transferAddress month-end settlement errorsPerform Blackline reconciliation for CWIP and fixed asset line itemsReturnable packaging asset creation and settlementRefresh and maintain the BI Capital ReportComplete CWIP reporting and BI analysisCreate and manage glass moulds assetsSafety and Environmental:Adhere to all safe working and environmental procedures in accordance with instructionsDemonstrate commitment to health, safety and the environment through participation in formal and informal discussions, workplace visits and hazard inspections, etc.Ad Hoc Projects / Tasks:Ad hoc projects & tasks as directedInvolved with ad hoc audit reviews as requiredKey relationshipsFinance Manager Group Capital & AssetsGroup Planning & Strategy ManagerKey stakeholdersInternal to Visy:GM Finance & Strategy - GroupDivisional & Operational teamsProject ManagersExternal to Visy:SuppliersAuditorsKey requirementsExperience and qualificationsMandatory (critical for the role)Tertiary qualified in Business or AccountingMinimum 2 years experience working in finance & Accounting rolesCompleting or intending to undertake CA or CPA qualificationMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)Experience in industry or similarEffective, clear and confident communicationExcellent organisation skillsStrong skills in issue resolutionAbility to work within deadlinesThe ability to take the initiative and seek continuous improvementDedication, commitment and the desire and ability to learn quicklyDesirable (preferable for the role)SAP ExperienceHyperion ExperienceSkills (technical, business, leadership)Service & results orientatedPragmatic attitudeHighly motivatedTeam playerAttention to detailCommercial Acumen
