Role SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled to support the design, sizing, and implementation of power systems for telecom tower sites. The ideal candidate will assist in engineering tasks involving energy systems such as diesel generators (DG), solar power, battery storage, hybrid solutions, and remote monitoring integration. This role involves working under the guidance of Senior Managers to deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective energy solutions for telecom applications.Key Responsibilities1. System Design & Engineering SupportAssist in designing power systems for telecom tower sites including DGs, batteries, and solar solutions.Prepare system schematics, load analysis, sizing calculations, and design documentation.Support senior team members in conducting feasibility studies and solution benchmarking.2. Battery Sizing & SelectionContribute to battery sizing calculations considering load profile, backup requirements, and site conditions.Assist in preparing documentation for battery integration and charging/discharging cycle planning.3. Solar Power System DesignSupport the design and sizing of solar PV systems including panel and inverter selection.Work on integration planning with backup and grid-based power systems.4. DG Sizing and PlanningAssist in sizing diesel generators based on energy demand and runtime requirements.Contribute to fuel efficiency and performance optimization studies.5. Energy Storage & EMS SupportSupport design and integration of battery energy storage and hybrid systems.Work with the senior team on EMS architecture to manage power flow and improve efficiency.6. System IntegrationCoordinate with electrical, civil, and installation teams for integration of components at tower sites.Assist in reviewing layouts, interconnection diagrams, and BOM for integrated systems.7. Remote Monitoring SystemsParticipate in the implementation and configuration of remote monitoring solutions.Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and data interpretation to improve system reliability.8. AC/DC Meter Selection & SetupAssist in selecting and sizing AC/DC energy meters to ensure accurate energy monitoring.Support meter calibration and ensure compatibility with EMS and site conditions.9. Project Execution SupportCoordinate with procurement, vendors, and on-site teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of systems.Monitor project progress and report updates to the team lead or manager.10. Technical Documentation & ProposalsSupport the preparation of technical documents for proposals, tenders, and internal reviews.Assist in preparing compliance checklists, site reports, and as-built documentation.11. Compliance & StandardsEnsure engineering work complies with safety codes, energy regulations, and telecom standards.Stay updated on industry norms and suggest updates to internal guidelines if needed.12. Client Coordination & SupportParticipate in client meetings alongside senior team members to provide technical inputs.Support in resolving client queries related to energy system design and performance.Candidate ProfileEducational QualificationsB.E./B. Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field; M. Tech preferred.Certifications in solar design, energy systems, or power electronics (desirable).Experience8–12 years of relevant experience in power system design for telecom or infrastructure projects.Experience in designing solar, DG, and battery storage systems.Exposure to energy metering, remote monitoring, and hybrid energy management systems.Technical SkillsProficiency in design and analysis tools (AutoCAD, HOMER, PVSyst, Excel-based sizing tools).Understanding of electrical loads, backup planning, and efficiency optimization.Familiarity with telecom tower site layouts and power distribution.Behavioural CompetenciesStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.Good communication and coordination skills.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Eagerness to learn and contribute to renewable energy and telecom infrastructure projects.
