We are happy to inform you that KL University having an immediate requirement for Deputy Librarian / Assistant Librarian for Central & Digital Library.KLU one of the most prestigious and preferred universities located in Guntur, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India!K L Deemed to be University has been ranked 35 among all IITs, IIMs, NITs and other premier institutes of India by MHRD, through NIRF rankings.K L’s Engineering College KLCE is ranked No.1 by Times of India (TOI) in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and is known for its consistent 100% placement record to all eligible students for the past 14 years.Department: Central Library & Digital Library.Job Role: Deputy Librarian / Assistant Librarian.Education Qualification:Deputy Librarian - B.L.I.S with M.L.I.S & Ph.D. in Library Science MandatoryAssistant Librarian – B.L.I.S with M.L.I.S Good knowledge of MS-Office.Role overview:The role involves overseeing both physical and digital collections, integrating modern technologies, and ensuring that the library effectively supports teaching, learning, and research across the institution.They also ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (UGC, NAAC, NBA, etc.) and collaborate with faculty, researchers, and external networks to position the library as the intellectual and digital knowledge hub of the university.Roles and ResponsibilityOversee library policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with institutional goals.Supervise, mentor, and evaluate library staff, ensuring effective team performance and professional development.Prepare and manage the annual budget for library operations, acquisitions, and digital resources.Plan, acquire, and maintain print, digital, and multimedia resources to meet the academic and research needs of students, faculty, and researchers.Negotiate with publishers, vendors, and consortia for subscriptions, e-resources, and databases.Implement and manage digital library services, including e-books, e-journals, and institutional repositories.Oversee the adoption of modern library technologies such as Library Management Systems (LMS), KOHA, RFID, Remote Access Tools, and Discovery Services.Stay updated on emerging trends in library automation, AI in libraries, and digital learning tools.Job Location: Guntur Andhra PradeshPay Scale: Salary is not a constraint for deserving candidates.Interested candidates kindly share your updated CV's to cvimala@ for any enquiries please reach us on 7981337620 - Vimala Ch - Asst Manager-HR - KL University
