Roles and responsibilities- Manage and execute commodity forecasting projects for different commodities for various clients. - Lead one or more project teams, guiding team(s) on all aspects including scoping, timelines, content, client engagement. - Deliver high quality, client-ready output consistently; identify risks / issues and escalate to the reporting manager in a timely manner. - Lead a team of 5-10 people while being responsible for their overall career management. - Function as a “client lead”, assuming ownership of assigned client accounts – be the main point of contact for client, prioritize work flow, negotiate project timelines/scope, collect feedback and address any issues promptly, identify up-selling/cross-selling opportunities. - Contribute to different organizational tasks such as hiring, training and other organizational initiatives. - Responsible for the quality of the work being done in the team; Review work thoroughly to ensure consistently high quality output, value addition and adherence to timelines; be able to judge required level of own involvement on projects, execute parts of projects if situation so demands. - Provide analysts with effective verbal/ written feedback; counsel analysts on technical as well as business skills and guide them on best practices. - Keep analyst team motivated, handle difficult situations such as dissatisfaction/disagreement among team, escalate to seniors in a timely manner. - Interact with clients during the course of the project and post project delivery through both emails and conference callsQualifications- Through knowledge of econometrics (including regression and timeseries analysis). - Proficient in R programming or python. - Potential of handling a large team of 5-10 employees as a single point of contact for their daily operational needs as well as overall needs related to career aspiration, performance, expectations, team building etc. - Ability to act in the capacity of technical advisor to all the projects under his team and advise them without necessarily working on the project. - Motivated, fast thinking, dynamic person with strong business acumen. - Result oriented, self-driven, solution seeker. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to do multitasking with ease. - Ability to take tough decisions with reasoning and logic. - Patient, calm and composed demeanor. - Quick grasp and ability to think on the feet. - Proactive in reaching out to others beyond his immediate area of responsibility to help/assist. - Effective in handling difficult client and people issues. - Strong people management skills. - Strong value system and fair and judicious in decision making• Perseverant and ‘can do’ attitude. - Ability to lead by example.If you are interested, please share your updated resume at kaustubh.kande@
